Protect yourself against cancer

I asked for prayer last week for Melody's brother Jon who has been declared terminal with brain cancer. My heart goes out so deeply to people who have to fight that battle.

There is so much fear related to cancer, and sometimes it feels like there's little you can do to protect yourself and your family. This article has some good suggestions of ways to protect yourself and your family, as well as some interesting thoughts about the research being done to cure this frightening disease.

  1. Hi! I read both your Eating Healthy article and this one on cancer. It amazes me that we have so much in common. I deal with bladder cancer; have been for 3 years now. I KNOW it is because of the junk I put into my body that God didn't intend for my body to try to process. And, I agree with you on the weight issue. I am fit and healthy (if I do say so myself!), and I worked hard to get here. I've had 5 babies, yes 5...and I never once was pregnant in my BUTT! I think women gain unnecessary weight when they're pregnant, eat everything they can find to eat, (which I did my share of gorging, mind you) and blame it on being pregnant. Then they live with that fat for years after the baby comes and grows up...sad. Anyway, enough rambling, I like your article!
