One year ago, our pastor made national news when his darkest secrets were exposed to the world. We were all completely shocked, and the grief and hurt caused by his lies was intense. But that was a year ago.

Yesterday, the building was full of people worshiping and looking to God. Our new pastor, fittingly, spoke on "divorce proofing your marriage." Healing has already taken place that some churches in similar circumstances never see - even a decade later. I am so grateful for the faithfulness of the people at our church. I am so grateful for a man of God who is full of grace and love for people, to lead the church. Mostly, I am grateful for what God is doing there. There's no place I would rather be!

  2. I hadn't put the two together until this post, that you are at the same New Life Church that we all heard about. It's amazing how God uses us, I was praying for you as a member of that church without even knowing it was you.

My heart ached for the members at New Life and the struggle that would lay before you. My prayer was for you all to be steadfast in your faith in God. He never changes, He never falters, He never forgets us even when we lose our way or ask questions about what His will and purpose are.

I am so encouraged by your attitude at the outcome thus far. It has shown me that prayers are always powerful. Even when we think we don't know the people by name, not that it's important, but maybe we do.
