Thought those of you in the GF world might find this interesting. What do you think, will it work, or will it just be another drug that causes different issues?
Sounds good, but is it too good to be true? At this point I'd want to see the results of the clinical trials. If I could be given a nearly 100% guarantee that it would work and not cause any long-term side effects or damage, I MIGHT be convinced to try it. Life with gluten back... seems so foreign!
I read about this too. Does sound too good to be true. Like most things in the medical world...it will probably come with a price to pay in other ways and I am the side effect queen! I just finished reading "Performance Without Pain" about a lady my age who has Celiac. She began having severe problems with her muscles even after being gluten free for quite a while. I am in her same boat, headed for the orthopedic surgeon next week. Have been in therapy since October with no improvement. She learned that even though she is gluten free her body still doesn't absorb the nutrition to keep everything going so her body robs her muscles and tendones and bones for nutrition to keep her vital organs healthy. I believe I am in the same boat. But I also believe that God doesn't make mistakes. He has His good purposes for all of this.

(My husband claims this quote describes me perfectly) :)

Wow, Marsha. I hope you find some answers. That sounds awful...
