Ricki Lake Fires Back

Interesting news article about the conflict between Ricki Lake, who helped produce a documentary called "The Business of Being Born," and the AMA. Lake's stance, as I understand it, is that most of the pressure for high-intervention birth is related to money. Has anyone seen the film?

    I haven't seen the movie, but I would like to. It is on my Netflix queue but I haven't decided whether it would be good enough for our weekend movie. You've reminded me to check the library, though. Thanks! If you do see it, I hope you'll write about it and let us know what you think. I have friends who have seen it and recommend it.

    Wow. That's pretty amazing. And it's interesting to me that she can be pro-choice as well as pro-home birth. Those things just don't go together in my mind. That's just me.
